Welcome to Kinpost. By using our website, our app, and our printed journal services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using Kinpost.

Eligibility

By accessing Kinpost, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the legal authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or your household. You agree to use Kinpost only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

About our service

Kinpost is a subscription service that creates personalized, newspaper-styled printed journals from photos, captions, and stories that you and your invited contributors share. Each journal is printed and delivered to a recipient you designate, typically a loved one in senior care or living independently.

By subscribing, you authorize Kinpost to collect content from you and your contributors, design and print a journal each month based on your subscription tier, and ship the printed journal to the address you provide.

Your account and subscription

When you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your information, keeping your login credentials secure, and notifying us promptly of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on the plan you select. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account or by contacting us. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused portions of a billing cycle, except as outlined in our first-edition guarantee.

First-edition guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your first Kinpost journal, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will issue a full refund. This guarantee applies to your first edition only.

Content you share

You and your invited contributors are responsible for the photos, captions, stories, and other content shared through Kinpost. By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to share it, you have permission from anyone identifiable in the content, and the content does not violate any laws, third-party rights, or our community guidelines.

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting content to Kinpost, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content solely for the purpose of creating, printing, and delivering your personalized journals, and storing it in your private digital archive if your subscription includes that feature. We do not use your content for marketing, advertising, AI training, or any other purpose without your explicit written consent.

Prohibited content

You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. Content that promotes violence, hate, or discrimination is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse to print any content that violates these terms, and we will notify you if we do so.

Intellectual property

All content on the Kinpost website, app, and marketing materials, including text, images, logos, graphics, designs, and journal templates, is the property of Kinpost or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of our content without prior written consent.

Service availability

Kinpost is provided "as is" without any guarantees or warranties beyond those required by law. While we strive to deliver every journal on time and to a high standard, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Delays may occasionally occur due to printing issues, shipping disruptions, weather, or other factors outside our control. If a journal is significantly delayed or fails to arrive due to our error, contact us and we will reprint or refund the affected edition.

Limitation of liability

Kinpost is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, app, or services. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, revenue, profits, or emotional distress. Our total liability for any claim related to Kinpost is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Third-party links and services

Our website and app may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services such as payment processors, printing partners, and shipping providers. These links and services are provided for convenience and operational purposes. Kinpost does not endorse or assume responsibility for the content or practices of external sites or services beyond what is necessary to deliver our journals.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Kinpost without notice if you violate these terms, submit prohibited content, engage in fraudulent activity, or behave in any way that we reasonably consider harmful to our business, our team, or other users. If your account is terminated for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund for any unused portion of your subscription.

You may also close your Kinpost account at any time by contacting us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify subscribers via email. Your continued use of Kinpost after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from your use of Kinpost will be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
